The intensity of emotions at the debates can only marvel at. Of particular interest are the conversations of political opponents when women participate in them. Elections 2018 is no exception. It was all - from ardent speeches and ending with open conflicts, threatening to turn into a fight.
Ksenia Sobchak burst into tears at the debate
Ksenia Sobchak, with the touchiness characteristic of women, did not withstand the attacks from other candidates and burst into tears on the live TV channel "Russia 1". She has repeatedly drawn the attention of TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov to the fact that she is not allowed to express her point of view and is constantly interrupted.
Sobchak called this behavior "collective persecution" and "disgrace", was on the verge of leaving the studio, but remembering that she had come into politics "seriously and for a long time" pulled herself together and continued the discussion.
Fighting live: what Maxim Suraykin wanted to prove
After Pavel Grudinin’s refusal to participate in the debates, Maxim Shevchenko had to take the rap for Russia’s main communist. It was he who became the object for a deliberate conflict that was arranged by presidential candidate Maxim Surayikin.
When Suraikin's verbal arguments were exhausted, he decided to apply an effective and long-tried method of persuasion - the kulaks. They did not have time to inflict heavy damage to each other; the guards separated them in time. But osadochek, as they say, remained - how can people who prove something with the help of a fight lead the country.
Grudinina was ashamed at the debate and he left the studio
What is behind the seemingly prosperous state farm named after Lenin, which is headed by presidential candidate Pavel Grudinin? The conditions under which people live and work in this “paradise” are not disclosed.
At the March 15 debates, Pavel Grudinin hastily left the studio when Lidia Filkina, one of the residents of a state farm, appeared in it. The woman publicly accused the candidate of not fulfilling her promises - she did not provide her family with free housing. Grudinin left to continue the debate of the journalist Maxim Shevchenko, who was also hostile received by other candidates. Suraykin even promised to "break his jaw."
According to analysts, Grudinin’s departure from the debate is a sign of weakness and inability to defend his point of view. The candidate himself justified his departure by being late for the plane and thus decided to effectively leave the studio, without forgetting to say the final words.
Sobchak poured water over Zhirinovsky
Perhaps, one of the most memorable episodes of the debate is “water procedures”, which Ksenia Sobchak arranged for the restless speaker Vladimir Zhirinovsky. She must have tried to stop the flow of obscene expressions that Vladimir Volfovich used in relation to Sobchak.
Zhirinovsky, not accustomed to such an attitude toward himself, was a bit taken aback and burst into obscene language on the air.
Plagiarism from Sobchak: what made her throw water over the "grandfather"
Whatever emotions Sobchak seized during the debates, she should not have poured water over Zhirinovsky. That is the opinion expressed by representatives of the LDPR, shaming Sobchak and urging her to "respect the age."
Ksenia Sobchak was also accused of plagiarism, recalling the situation on the air of the program "One on One", where Zhirinovsky splashed orange juice in Nemtsov. This case was then discussed in all federal media and undoubtedly was remembered for a long time. At the 2018 debates, Sobchak decided to make a similar impression on the audience. From the very beginning of her speech, she began to call Zhirinovsky a clown and ended her speech with such a spectacular trick.
According to the press service of the Liberal Democratic Party, Ksenia Sobchak is a provocateur with a lot of experience, ready to do anything for the hype and self-promotion.
Ksenia Sobchak: “I'm still in shock”
Ksenia Sobchak called her behavior a necessary measure. According to her, it is simply impossible to calm the ardent orator Vladimir Zhirinovsky in another way, and she “slightly sprinkled it with cold water” to bring it to a sense of reality.
Ksenia Sobchak considers herself to be the victim in this situation, however, political analysts call this trick the peak of immorality. To the fact that the candidates are fighting in the debate, the audience somehow got used to. This sight is even amusing, real emotions show the true character of candidates for the presidency. But then a reasonable question arises - what will we see next in the live debates.
How Suraykin earns fame
As the debate showed, Maxim Suraikin, the candidate of the Communists of Russia party, cannot offer Russians anything other than insults and ostentatious fights. Such tactics successfully worked in other elections, when some candidates tried to earn their own “fame”. About some political slogans and the presentation of the program speech was not going.
The audience will long remember the fight between Surayikin and Shevchenko, who, perhaps, can take an honorable 2nd place in the ranking of the most memorable debate scandals in 2018. In the first place without exaggeration is the disgraceful departure of Grudinin from the studio after the charges of Filkina.
Why Putin is not participating in the debate
Other presidential candidates have accumulated a lot of questions to Vladimir Putin, which they would like to ask him live during the election debates. However, the current leader of the country refused to participate in them, citing employment.
Candidates from the Communist Party insist on meeting with Putin, but the Kremlin’s press service made it clear that the current president is not going to meet with his opponents in public.
Candidates from other parties are also not averse to hearing from Putin the main points of his “creative” program, saying that they would like to argue with their main rival, and not among themselves. By his decision, Vladimir Putin did not violate the election rules. Under the law, he has the right to send proxies instead of himself, which he actually enjoys throughout all election debates since 2000.
Well-known political scientist Anna Fedorova described the debate as “melancholy muttering,” but this is difficult to say about the debate before the presidential elections of 2018. Bright, in her opinion, Ksenia Sobchak “made” this debate, operating with a glass better than with statements about foreign and domestic policy.
Against this background, it remains only to hope that behind all the fights and scandals the audience still heard the constructive ideas of the presidential candidates.
