It seems that the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 has just recently ended. And now throughout Europe are casting for a new competition. Fans of this bright show in anticipation. It is already known that the 64th contest will be held in Jerusalem. Qualifying rounds will be held on May 13 and 14, and the final will be on May 18, 2019. Last year for Portugal, the honor of hosting an event was earned by Salvador Collected with the song “Amar pelos dois”.From the judges who choose future bidders, an independent and fair decision is required. After changing the rules, the assessment of each of the judges individually has less influence on the overall outcome of the voting than it was before. Now the majority opinion is much more important. Thanks to last year’s voting, Israel deserved the right to host the competition in 2019. The winner was bright Netta with the song "Toy."This will be the third time a country has been honored to host a show. The specific location of the event is still unknown. Announced only that the guests will take the city of Tel Aviv.

Participants in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019

It is still more than two months before Eurovision, therefore it is not yet possible to name all the participants. Officially it is known that they expressed their desire to participate in the event:

  • Denmark;
  • Norway;
  • Bulgaria;
  • Switzerland;
  • Poland;
  • Norway;
  • Ukraine;
  • Serbia;
  • San Marino;
  • Sweden;
  • Finland;
  • Estonia.

Also, by default, among the participants will be 5 countries-organizers of the very first competition:

  • France;
  • Germany;
  • Spain;
  • Italy;
  • Great Britain.

The problem may be the fact that the host country will be Israel. Some hypothetical contestants may opt out for political reasons. So far, only two countries have expressed their doubts: Ireland and Morocco.

Who will go from Russia?

For Russia, this year has a special meaning. “Eurovision 2017” was missed due to misunderstandings with the host Ukraine that year. It should be recalled that in that year, Yulia Samoilova made the list of those people who can not pass on the territory of Ukraine. The proposal to change the participant from Russia was refused. In 2018, Russia simply did not qualify for the final, which can be equated with failure. These facts allow us to think that the participant of this year and his team should make every effort to break the black line.

This year, Russia did not conduct an open selection, but among the existing applicants the choice was made very carefully. They became Sergei Lazarev. In 2016, he had already tried his hand in the international arena, but took 3rd place. For success, a young man has all the data. Sergey's team is headed by the unrivaled Philip Kirkorov.

Also among the possible applicants for participation in the competition were called:

  • Manizhu;
  • Philip Kirkorov;
  • Yegor Creed;
  • Aleksandar Panayotov;
  • Elena Temnikova;
  • Olga Buzova.

Who will go from Ukraine to Eurovision 2019

It is likely that Ukraine will not take part in Eurovision 2019. Despite such assumptions, the country's main TV channels conducted a selection. According to the results of the voting, the MARUV project won, but the girl refused to go to Tel Aviv. This led to a tangible public response. It is believed that the reasons for the refusal were the obvious politicization of the competition and the unacceptable conditions for the performer.

The next in line were Freedom Jazz, KAZKA and Brunettes Shoot Blondes, but these projects did not want to represent the country in the competition. At the moment, no response has been received from Yuko and Anna-Maria, to whom proposals have also been sent. After that, a decision appeared about Ukraine’s refusal to participate in the competition.

Who will go from Moldova?

At Eurovision 2019, the Republic of Moldova will be represented by Anna Odobescu with the song “Stay”. The real name of the girl is Anna Vdovichenko. She was born in the city of Dubossary, where she began her musical journey. In the Transdniestrian College of Music named after Rubinstein, she received an education in vocal class. She also graduated from the Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts.

The singer has already received a lot of awards at local and international competitions and she has every chance to represent the country at Eurovision. One of these awards was the second prize at the anniversary International Music Festival “Slavic Bazaar” in 2016.

In addition to Anna Odobescu, they fought for the right to represent the country:

  • Aurel Chirtoaca;
  • Vera Turcan;
  • Marcel Violin;
  • Siaj group;
  • Maxim Zavidia;
  • Diana Brescan;
  • Christina Koschug;
  • group “Lemonique”;
  • group “CHE-MD”.

Moldavian participant will perform in the second semifinal.

Young participant from Belarus

At the national selection for the competition the most points (69 out of 70) received a young singer from Minsk Xena. The singer actively supported the online community, as well as fan clubs.

The girl will go to Tel Aviv with the song “Like it”, written by its producer Viktor Drobysh.

At the age of 16, Xena had already managed to visit the project “New Star Factory”, voice Moana in the Disney cartoon and speak at the Junior Eurovision in 2018.

At the moment, the bookmakers give Belarus only 30th place out of 41, but the young singer has every chance to refute such a rating and take a higher position. The highest place in the history of participation of Belarus in the competition (since 2004) brought Dmitry Koldun - 6th place.

Eurovision 2019 promises to be interesting and exciting. It will be especially pleasant to watch the competition if all the attention can be given to art completely, minimizing political influence on the course of the event.
