But the cost of beautiful candles with decor is much higher than simple copies. That is why we have prepared several master classes, thanks to which you can transform simple candles and make them a stylish accent in the interior.
Burlap decor
Such material as burlap is very often used in the decoration of candles. With its help, you can create whole compositions that look amazingly beautiful.
We will prepare the following materials:
- simple candle;
- sackcloth;
- tape;
- clock;
- needle with thread.
We cut off the burlap of the required size and fasten it with a pin or sew.
We tie a ribbon around the candle and tie a watch to it.
Beautiful candle for home decor is ready!
Very often, burlap is used to create autumn compositions.To do this, you will need dried leaves, twigs and other elements.
For the decor in this style will prepare the following:
- candle;
- sackcloth;
- twine;
- lace;
- glue in the gun or glue "moment";
- kraft paper;
- scissors;
- leaves.
Cut off a piece of burlap of the required size. Dissolve the top and bottom of the fabric to make a fringe.
Tightly wind the burlap to the candle with the help of twine. The end of the cord is glued to the material.
Over the twine we glue a strip of lace.
Cut out Kraft paper leaves, slightly larger than the harvested. We make a small bow out of twine, connect the decor and glue it to the candle.

Decor of candles from dried flowers
Everyone can make a beautiful candle with a decor of dried flowers. In addition, this work will be unique, since you can use a variety of plants and flowers.
Prepare materials:
- white candle;
- simple candle;
- dried flowers;
- spoon;
- scissors;
- tweezers.
Before starting work, we recommend approximately to make the desired composition of dried flowers. Then we heat a simple candle and hold a spoon over it as shown in the photo.
When the spoon warms up a bit, take a flower and gently smooth it. You need to do this very carefully so as not to damage the petals.
If some part does not stick, unnecessary or simply interferes, you can cut it off.
We continue to gradually decorate the candle with other dried flowers. We do it slowly and very carefully so as not to damage them.
If some elements fail to attach with a spoon, you can use glue. But you need to apply it in a very thin layer.
To fix the result, we take a simple candle, cut it and remove the wick. Melt on low heat, but do not boil. Pour paraffin into another container and gently, holding the wick dipping a candle with dried flowers. Stylish candle with natural decor is ready.
Stylish salt decor
If you need to beautifully decorate small candles in a short time, then this master class will definitely suit you.
For the decor you will need:
- pill candles;
- fine salt;
- acrylic paint;
- sponge;
- disposable plate.
First, we recommend raising the wick in each candle so that it is convenient to move them.
Pour some paint into a disposable plate and soak the sponge with it.
We take a candle for the bottom and paraffin wax and paint its end with a thick layer.
Immediately after applying the paint, sprinkle the surface with fine salt.
Carefully, holding the wick, put the candle to dry and repeat the same with the rest.
Halloween Bloody Candles
You can create an awesome Halloween party atmosphere with the help of “bloody candles”.
Prepare the necessary materials:
- old white candles;
- red candle;
- saucer or disposable plate;
- lighter or matches;
- additional decoration (artificial spiders or other insects).
Burn the wick to check the operation of the candle. Then put it on a saucer or disposable plate.
We light the wick of the red candle and wait for the paraffin to melt.
We begin to decorate a white candle with red stains. After you have done one lap, leave it to dry a little. This is necessary to make the decor more voluminous.
When the paraffin is dry, decorate the candle with spiders at will.
Glitter Candles
You can make simple candles with festive sparkles. To do this, you need only double-sided tape and tinsel, as well as foil at will.
Put on the candle double-sided tape, then remove the top layer and sprinkle it with sparkles.
You can also use metallized foil, then the effect will be slightly different.
Use double-sided tape can not only create strips on the candle. With the help of a hole punch you can make circles of small diameter.
Glue them to the candle in any order.
Just as in the previous version, sprinkle the circles with sparkles and remove the remnants with a brush or a rag.
The inscription on the candle
If you want to make a gift to a loved one and give a candle, then we recommend to show originality and make an interesting inscription on it. This may be a motivating phrase or just a wish.
For this you will need:
- candle of any color;
- decorative paints;
- two brushes of different sizes;
- embossing tool;
- typed phrase or wish.
We attach the printed phrase to the candle and we transfer it with a special embossing tool, pressing it in slightly.
Remove the stencil and cut the text on the transferred trace. Big brush brushing off wax shavings.
Fill the cut out pattern with decorative paint of a contrasting color, then leave the candle until it is completely dry. Stylish and original gift is ready!
Decoupage technique
It is possible to decorate a candle beautifully or set a certain theme with the help of decoupage technique.
For work we will prepare:
- white candle;
- napkins with your favorite pattern;
- tea spoon;
- simple candle.
We select a picture on a napkin and cut out the one you like.
Remove the two lower layers from the napkin and apply it to the candle.
We light the second candle and heat the spoon as shown in the photo.
We press the napkin with light, smooth movements of the spoon. Due to the fact that it is quite hot, the paraffin melts and the pattern is glued to the candle.
You can make beautiful decoupage decor not only in Christmas motifs, but also in vintage style.
But unlike the previous version, we will use tracing paper with text and a hairdryer in this one.
Attach tracing paper to the candle with white buttons.
Heat the candle with a hair dryer until the upper layer melts.
Gently press tracing paper to the candle and leave to dry. After it cools, remove the buttons and cut off the extra details.
In a similar way you can transfer your favorite photo to a candle.
Cement Candles
As mentioned above, candles are often used for wedding decor. Therefore, if you are planning such a celebration in the style of minimalism and love simple, but original things, be sure to try to make them yourself.
Necessary materials:
- water;
- cement with sand;
- capacity;
- brush;
- scissors;
- spoon;
- candles.
Prepare a container in which we will create beautiful candles. Add some water to it.
Add the cement and water alternately until the mixture becomes rather thick.
Ratchet with a brush to form so that the mixture is evenly distributed.
Put the candle in the container so that it plunges into the mixture, and the top remains at the same level.
We knock out the form and leave the mixture until dry. Carefully remove the candle or cut the container, as shown in the photo.
Stunning, stylish decor is ready.
