Every loving owner should provide his beloved pet with a comfortable lounger. It would be nice to make it yourself. After all, real comfort for a dog can be created from the most simple and unexpected materials. Especially since this option is much cheaper than those sold in specialized stores. 1. Sunbed from hoodies
An ordinary warm sweatshirt is a smart design for your pet!
What you need:
- scissors;
- threads;
- thick needle;
- pins;
- hoody;
- pillow, fillers or pieces of cloth;
- fabric to cover the junction of the sleeves.
Turn the sweatshirt inside out. Sew a collar, leaving a small opening.
Carefully flatten the sweatshirt and mark with pins a straight line from one armpit to the other. Sew and pull pins.
Sew the sleeves to the side of the sweatshirt before reaching the end.
Form the sides by filling the sleeves with an acrylic blanket, pieces of cloth or other fillers.
Place a pillow in the middle.

2. House of plywood

Tools and materials:

4. Functional bed with drawer
A spacious bed for two dogs is now also equipped with a functional box where you can store food and other things for pets.
Necessary materials:
- plywood;
- lumber;
- screws;
- mattress;
- furniture legs;
- box with handle;
- decorative pillows.
Cut out the side, top and bottom of the project.
Fasten the legs.
We select a soft mattress.
We make out decorative small pillows.

5. Striped Carpet Cover
If your dog's lounger looks pretty dull, why don't you try stitching a new stylish cover on it, such as this striped carpet.
Prepare everything you need:
- scissors;
- measuring tape;
- marker or chalk;
- tapestry needles;
- pins;
- carpet fabric;
- 2 skeins of mercerized cotton;
- mattress.
Choose high-quality dense carpet textiles. You will need to make three identical rugs to create the top, bottom and side panels for the cover.
To the size of your pet, measure the length and cut out the top and bottom surfaces of the cover.
Determine the height of the cover and cut out four side parts.
Sew all parts of the case using temporary attachment pins. Leave a spacious hole for the mattress.
Remove the pins and turn out the cover on the front side. Insert the mattress, and then sew up the hole.
6. Name bed
A roomy box of old furniture can be an excellent basis for your dog's lounger. Decorate it with cute textiles and decorative nominal letters - so it will look like a full-fledged piece of interior furniture.
So, after you have found a suitable box, remove the handle. Then, using wood glue, fasten four wooden blocks in the inner corners. Put the weights on top until the glue dries. Blocks are needed as an additional layer for fastening the legs for their stability.
We paint box together with legs.After complete drying, if necessary, apply a second layer.
Mark the space for legs on the box and drill holes. Remember, they should be an order of magnitude smaller than the screw itself. So he will hold tight, glaring at the wood.
Fasten the legs, additionally strengthening their upper part with wood glue.
Now we proceed to the decor. Sticking letters of your pet's name.
It remains to provide soft comfort, and a complete resting place for the dog is ready.
7. Transfiguration of the old dresser
Now the old dresser has two functions: storage and a sleeping place for a beloved dog.
So cook:wooden dresser, plywood sheets, varnish, sandpaper or sanding block, paint, circular saw, drills, screwdriver, tape measure.
We remove the two lower drawers of the dresser and other unnecessary details.

Measure with a tape measure the height, depth and width of the dresser.
Install the plywood in the base.
Emery paper sanding the surface, wipe it with a damp cloth.
Similarly, prepare and fasten the side sheets using a mounting gun or screws.
We prepare materials for painting.
Spray a layer of primer.Let it dry completely.
Spray colored paint. Leave for 2-3 hours to complete drying and apply a second layer.

The second layer is similar to the previous one, but without a base. The third (topmost) one is tripartite.
Before merging all three layers, attach the wheels to the bottom one. With them lounger looks much more interesting. But it is up to you.
Now we connect all the frames.
We paint and decorate with a beautiful pillow.
10. A cushion
The bed pillow made from a warm fleece blanket will be truly comfortable for your dog.
Fold the plaid in half and in the middle lay a pillow that will serve as an inner filling. Mark the borders, leaving a gap of 5 cm from the pillow plus 3-4 cm for the fringe.
After cutting the top and bottom parts, attach them to each other and cut into the fringe. Then simply tie the ribbons together in pairs in a strong knot, leaving a hole for filling. Insert a pillow and complete the process.
You can use a simple pillow that will fit your dog's size. Choose a beautiful case for it, which you can wash or replace at any time.
11. Under the visor
The next project is the transformation of a compact table into a functional and comfortable corner for a dog.
First we polish the surfaces.
Cover with a layer of primer.
We apply paint in three layers: outside - with the color “caramel”, inside - with the color “vanilla cream”.
Inside the decoration of the upholstery fabric with a pattern reminiscent of vintage wallpaper.
