Mondeo is a passenger car of the American company Ford, which has been produced since 1993. According to the specifications provided, this is a five-seater D class car with 5 doors. The company spent over $ 6 billion on the implementation of this project and, judging by the brand’s popularity, they have repeatedly paid off.
Initially, Ford Mondeo was produced only in the form of a sedan, but later wagon and hatchback appeared. The first-generation car had a four-wheel drive version, but over time it is in the past and now only front-wheel drive are on the market. However, the new products of 2018 will return the old days again and will be sold in all-wheel drive.
Now the 5th generation of Mondeo remains relevant in the market, which came to the account in 2013. Several countries are engaged in car assembly at once: Russia, China, Taiwan, Thailand and Belgium. American version
Overseas, this car has a slightly different name - Fusion, and its “charged” version is Fusion Sport. Outwardly, with every detail, it resembles a fast-paced “sports car” ready to lift off at any second. The chrome parts are much smaller here than in the Vignale, since everything is optimized for the charisma acquired by the novelty.
The exhaust consists of two twin pipes, looking out from under the modified rear bumper. The bumper itself has received a chrome insert that connects the narrowed LED optics.
The model is presented only in the all-wheel drive version, the power of which can vary from 181 to 325 horsepower. The cost of this version is significantly lower than the European - 34.5 thousand dollars for the most expensive equipment. This pricing policy made Americans fall in love with the novelty and line up in line with it.
European variation
In addition to the Vignale, in Europe you can see the Ford Mondeo ST-Line, which combines the sports and luxury versions. The whole dynamics of this model remains only externally, since the 325-strong engine will not be put on it, options from 150 to 240 horsepower are offered. Due to a sports body kit, ground clearance was reduced by 1 cm.
The seats and steering wheel have a sporty appearance, besides this, the steering wheel has acquired “petals” for convenient gear shifting.At the discretion of the buyer can be installed as 18-and 19-inch wheels, you can also choose the front-wheel drive version or all-wheel drive. The American manufacturer claims that it will initially be produced only sedan, which will appear at the end of this year. The first sales will begin in America, then in Europe, but the updated model will get to Russia no earlier than mid-2018.
